Finally, ready to go Fourth

For those itching for true summer fun in the hot July sun, Mother Nature is cooperating, for now.

The Groton House Farm’s premier riding event, the GHF II, concludes today, and with Salisbury Beach becoming a hot spot for Jet-Ski events, it appears the summer weather has arrived in time.

From today through Thursday, temperatures will hover in the upper 70s to low 80s with only a 30 percent chance of showers on Wednesday and Thursday, the National Weather Service reported.

Though the weather should be pleasant during the day, come Wednesday night, when all eyes will be looking toward the skies for the city’s Fourth of July fireworks display, that story could change.

Mostly cloudy skies could interfere with the fireworks, the weather service reported. And a 40 percent chance of rain means there could be more than just embers and sparks falling from the skies that night.
